There is known issue with Internet Explorer 9 and SmarterMail 7 where it appears SmarterMail is frozen with an error that says "SmarterMail is processing the request". The solution to this is enable compatibility view mode in Internet Explorer 9.
- In Internet Explorer 9 click the Tools menu and select Compatibility View Settings. If you do not have a tools menu, or your menubar is hidden, press Alt-T to open the menu.
- Ensure your mail domain is listed under "Add this website", click Add then click Close
- You should now be able to load SmarterMail without error in Internet Explorer 9
